Sophie Tatlow is the co-founder, art director, copywriter and ‘all-round’ brand ambassador for Utopia Goods and Deuce Design. Together with Bruce Slorach, they founded Deuce Design (since 2000), a leading multi disciplinary design studio in Sydney. In 2012, they created Utopia Goods, a unique textile and home furnishings company producing crafted and screen printed fabrics celebrating botanical beauty and craftsmanship.
Sophie has creatively guided Utopia Goods to be become one of the best known textile brands in Australia, currently circumnavigating their way into US interior design and textile shores. Sophie is a keen champion of Australian design and has ambitions to put Australian native plants and most importantly, Australian textiles on the international map. Her past and current experience as a researcher, copywriter, art director and experience as heritage interpretation consultant are behind the Utopia Goods aesthetic and philosophy.
Utopia Goods and Deuce Design share many clients some of whom include Australia’s best known architects, landscape designers, arts, government and private clients. Utopia Goods is sold in many of Australia’s best stores, State and National Galleries and adorns many of Australia’s best known homes and public institutions.
